We all live according to our family values. You have inherited a complete cultural system from your school, national leaders, commercials and programming on television and radio, conversations with friends, religious institutions, and by carefully observing the world around you.

However, the people who have probably contributed the most to your cultural development is your parents. Your parents love you immensely and their own experiences have made them wise. Ever since you were born, they have cared for you and shown you reality according to a value system. They have always tried to pass on as much of that wisdom to you as they can. While you were growing up, they taught you how to behave, what to wear, whom to respect, where to focus your energy, when to speak, and why you are here on this Earth.

Everyone knows what their parents expect of them, though we might not be completely aware of it. It is necessary to do an assessment.
